After years of first hand experience watching students struggle in traditional classroom setting, I made it my mission to create an environment where they could thrive. I began this journey teaching kindergarten before earning my master's degree in special education at the University of San Diego. In my 12 years of teaching special education in the classroom, I watched students walk into my classroom every day looking defeated and I knew they deserved something more.

I followed my passion and the desire to provide that something and set out into the world of educational therapy, earning my educational therapy degree from the University of California Riverside. What was once just a dream to help students to feel successful has now become a reality.

The Learning Lounge was created as a safe learning space where students can come and be themselves. Where learning can take place without fear or judgment. Where every student can have a chance to experience success.
